About L-U-V
L-U-V, the stage name of Alabama artist Larry McAdams Jr., is an emerging independent hip-hop artist, songwriter, producer and performer known for blending emotional storytelling, real-life struggles, motivational energy, and melodic Southern rap into his music. Inspired by legendary artists such as 2Pac, Nas, Scarface and several others, L-U-V creates authentic music that connects deeply with listeners through raw emotion, ambition, pain, and perseverance.
L-U-V first began pursuing music at the age of 13 after meeting a music producer at a mall who was searching for new rap talent. That experience sparked a passion that would shape the rest of his life. Shortly after, hearing 2Pac’s iconic song “Dear Mama” had a life-changing impact on him. After losing his mother at just nine years old and being raised by a single father alongside his sisters, L-U-V found comfort, inspiration, and purpose through music and lyrical storytelling.
Determined to create a better future for himself and his family, L-U-V dedicated his teenage years to studying songwriting, rap lyrics, recording techniques, and music production. Throughout middle school and high school, he developed his craft while building a unique sound influenced by hip-hop culture, emotional rap, motivational music, and melodic trap soul.
As his confidence grew, L-U-V began performing at talent shows across Alabama and California, quickly gaining attention for his stage presence, relatable lyrics, and crowd energy. Motivated by the support from audiences, family, and friends, he invested in recording equipment and built his own home studio, where he continued writing and producing music independently.
Over the years, L-U-V has released and created standout songs including “Let’s Get It,” “Crazy About You,” “Come To Me,” “Made,” “Callin,” and “She Bad.” His growing digital presence has helped him build an audience of over 10,000 Instagram followers while generating more than 2 million social media views, helping establish him as a rising independent rap artist to watch.
Currently, L-U-V is focused on new music releases and upcoming projects including “Party All Night,” “Hanging On,” “Let’s Take It Slow,” and “Most Beautiful.” With powerful new music, consistent momentum, and a rapidly growing fanbase, 2026 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for the Alabama rapper.
As his fanbase continues to grow, L-U-V is actively seeking collaborations with established and emerging artists, producers, and songwriters to create impactful music that connects with audiences worldwide. As he continues carving his own lane in hip-hop and independent music, the future looks bright for L-U-V.
