About L-U-V

L-U-V, the stage name of Alabama artist Larry McAdams Jr., is an emerging independent hip-hop artist, songwriter, producer, and performer known for blending emotional storytelling, real-life struggles, motivational energy, and melodic Southern rap into his music. Inspired by legendary artists such as 2Pac, Nas, Scarface, and other influential hip-hop artists, L-U-V creates authentic music centered around emotion, ambition, pain, love, perseverance, and overcoming adversity.

L-U-V first began pursuing music at the age of 13 after meeting a music producer at a mall who was searching for new rap talent. That experience sparked a passion that would shape the rest of his life. Shortly afterward, hearing 2Pac’s iconic song “Dear Mama” had a profound impact on him. After losing his mother at just nine years old and being raised by a single father alongside his sisters, L-U-V found comfort, inspiration, and purpose through music and lyrical storytelling.

Determined to create a better future for himself and his family, L-U-V dedicated his teenage years to studying songwriting, rap lyrics, recording techniques, and music production. Throughout middle school and high school, he developed his craft while building a distinctive sound influenced by hip-hop culture, emotional rap, motivational music, and melodic trap soul.

As his confidence grew, L-U-V began performing at talent shows across Alabama and California, gaining attention for his stage presence, relatable lyrics, and crowd energy. Motivated by the support of audiences, family, and friends, he invested in recording equipment and built his own home studio, allowing him to continue developing his music and production independently.

Over the years, L-U-V has released and created standout songs including “Let’s Get It,” “Crazy About You,” “Come To Me,” “Made,” “Callin,” and “She Bad.” His growing digital presence has helped him build a dedicated audience across social media, with millions of views and an expanding fanbase discovering his music.

In 2026, L-U-V continued building momentum with the release of “Party All Night” featuring Agus Bouquet and “Hanging On,” both of which generated strong listener engagement and views. These releases have helped expand his reach and introduce his music to new audiences.

Now, L-U-V is preparing for his next release, “Let’s Take It Slow,” continuing a year of consistent new music and creative growth. With additional music and projects on the way, L-U-V is focused on building long-term momentum and connecting with listeners through authentic songs that tell stories and create emotion.

As his audience continues to grow, L-U-V is actively seeking collaborations with established and emerging artists, producers, songwriters, and creative professionals to create impactful music that connects with audiences worldwide. Continuing to carve out his own lane in hip-hop and independent music, L-U-V is building his career one release, one performance, and one listener at a time.
